A Christmas to Remember

Merry Christmas (and a SUPER belated post)!  We had a great Christmas... our first one in Nebraska in 4 years, so very special!  Lilah loved the snow, riding the toboggan behind Bopper's tractor, seeing her Dudney great grandparents, visiting our friend Tyler Barry who is a firefighter, and of course enjoying the joys of Christmas.  We couldn't have been happier to help everyone eat their Christmas cookies and desserts-- the food all around was 5 star!  We miss our families so much, so this time was super special!

Unfortunately, Lilah got a cold while we were in Nebraska and wasn't feeling her best.  I also was in a rough portion of my first trimester and was feeling very sick as well.  I spent most of the time on the couch and sleeping, but still good to be back.

Lilah was uber spoiled by everyone at Christmas- so many wonderful toys!  So many in fact that our car was at capacity on the drive back.  We unfortunately hit a deer near Hannibal, Missouri on our way back and ended up spending a cold night in a hotel while my dear dad and brother drove to us with a loaner car.  Bless them!  It was a scary night but a night that made us appreciate how wonderful family is.  Ben got his car back 3 months later and it's still working today... that's a good sign, right?!

Sledding! Ponderosa style.
